MORE THAN 100 YEARS OF HISTORY

Château Malakoff brings together three historic champagne companies, Oudinot, Jeanmaire and Beaumet, upon the initiative of the Trouillard family who took over Beaumet in 1977 and Oudinot and Jeanmaire in 1981.

These companies were then able to speed up their development on the basis of a continually growing supply of high-quality grapes.
These grapes come firstly from the extensive vineyard belonging to the Trouillard family in different areas of the Champagne appellation and, in particular, in the best crus of the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Bar.

They have been completed over the years by numerous wine-growers who choose to deliver their harvest to Château Malakoff, where they recognise the same respect for vines and grapes.

Château Malakoff has made significant investments to constantly improve and guarantee the quality of its wines, including the construction of a stainless steel fermentation room and a new pressuring centre in Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs vineyard.

At the same time, Champagne Jeanmaire, Champagne Oudinot and Champagne Beaumet are increasing their distribution, in particular towards export markets. The three companies thus acquire well-established sales positions, naturally in France, but also in Sweden, Great Britain, Belgium, Holland, Japan and the United States.

In 2004, the Trouillard family sold Château Malakoff to Laurent-Perrier to ensure the continuing development of these brands around the same principles of quality, from the vine right up to the final stages of making the champagne.

Their champagne anchorage (vine cultivating, champagne making and distribution are their sole activity), their family tradition (they have been controlled by the Nonancourt family for over 60 years) and their demand for quality are all points that Laurent-Perrier have in common with the culture behind the Beaumet, Jeanmaire and Oudinot champagnes since their beginnings.

Within this group, Château Malakoff can continue to enhance the identity of its wines and invest for the constant improvement of the quality of its vineyards and technical facilities.

These efforts will enable Champagne Jeanmaire, Champagne Oudinot and Champagne Beaumet to continue to offer champagne lovers wines that best express the qualities of the Champagne soil and grapes.
